My library “hit-rate”
I considered doing an year-end library book review.. to list all the library books I’ve requested this year, and reviewing which ones I actually read.. and which ones I really enjoyed. But bpl.org lets me down again by not having a reading history option. I actually can’t remember all the books I’ve requested. Listing the books I don’t remember is all the fun of this. I’ll definitely record this next year. (I might end up having a LOT less time to read next year)
But I do have records from the Minuteman Library for half the year.. up to 7/31. And I’m really amused by the list. Here are some numbers:
- 88 total checkouts.
- 6 video recordings (only watched 2 of these)
- 2 sound recordings (only listened to snippets of these.. by nature they’re albums I’m unsure about)
- 6 cookbooks
- 10 borrowed to help Josh (only skimmed)
- 6 that I borrowed for myself that I only skimmed
- 3 Quickbooks references
- 24 fully read
- 27 not read at all (1 book that I checked out 3 times this year!)
